Welcome to my page and thank you for stopping by!
My name is Alexandria and Classroom Action with Ms. Jackson is my way of giving back to the teaching community by sharing ideas through blogging and creating resources. Learning, teaching children, and helping others has always been my passion. I am hooked on EVERYTHING education!
In college I studied Child Growth and Development and received my Bachelor of Science with licensure to teach grades K-8 from Tennessee State University. I went on to earn my Master of Education degree in Elementary Education. In addition, I have endorsement to teach English Learner students from grades preK-12. In December I will graduate with my Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and administrative licensure.
I live in the great city of Nashville, where I currently serve as an Instructional Coach in an elementary school serving grades K-4. In this role I am able to provide coaching and professional development in many areas including classroom organization and management, literacy, numeracy, instructional strategies, assessments, and data analysis. When I began teaching I taught kindergarten. I loved seeing the students grow and develop a love for learning. I went on to teach second grade and third grade and eventually English Learners. I’ve had some awesome experiences in the classroom, and in my current role, I am able to help each grade level at my school. It is wonderful and very rewarding because I am still able to work with students and I am able to help teachers as well.
Through blogging I am able to share my passion and I am able to collaborate with lots of awesome teachers in the world and share amazing ideas that will help students learn. I am excited to share my world with you!
