Have you started teaching about the election yet!?! Teaching children about the election can be fun! There are so many things they can learn about! November is next month and the election is quickly approaching.
We did some research about the presidential candidates. It was really fun learning about all of the candidates. The students had no idea that there were four main candidates and not just the two.
We started off by doing a little research on what an election is and who can vote in an election.
Then, we went on to learn about the different political parties, and who the presidential candidates are this year.
Next, we learned all about the Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton.
Then next candidate we learned about is the Republican candidate, Donald Trump.
We also learned about Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate and Jill Stein, the candidate for the Green Party.
You can find the Election 2016 Research Project here. This project has endless possibilities with how you can have your students complete it. At the end of the unit, your students can present and share what they learned. They can also have a chance to rock the vote with this election ballot FREEBIE!
